Tajik internet sensation and former Bigg Boss contestant Abdu Rozik has called off his engagement to Amira, a 19-year-old Emirati woman from Sharjah. The couple, who announced their engagement in April 2024, were set to marry on July 7. However, Rozik postponed the wedding due to his boxing match against Erali Boyqobilov at the Coca-Cola Arena.

Cultural Differences Behind the Decision

Rozik, 20, shared his reasons for the breakup, stating that cultural differences became apparent as their relationship progressed. “I am sad to announce that I have canceled my wedding,” Rozik said. “As we got to know each other better, we realized that our cultural backgrounds presented challenges we couldn’t overlook. I need a partner who is strong and mentally resilient enough to handle the unique challenges that come with my life.”

Overcoming Personal Challenges

Known for overcoming childhood rickets and rising to fame through his singing and viral MMA fight with Hasbulla Magomedov, Rozik emphasized the importance of staying true to himself. “I owe much of my success to embracing who I am. I am grateful for my health and for the support of everyone who has helped me get to where I am today,” he added.

Optimistic About the Future

Despite the emotional weight of the decision, Rozik remains hopeful. “I trust that love will find me again when the time is right,” he said, thanking his fans for their continued support.

A Rising Star

Rozik, who holds a UAE Golden Visa, has amassed over 8.2 million followers on Instagram. His journey from earning less than Dh2 a day as a singer in a local Tajik bazaar to becoming a celebrated influencer has inspired many. He first met Amira in February at Cipriani Dolci in Dubai Mall, marking the beginning of a relationship that ultimately could not withstand cultural differences.
