Careem has partnered with Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) to offer free bike rentals for residents and tourists participating in the Dubai Ride on Sunday, November 10. This annual event, now in its fifth edition, is the region’s largest community cycling event and welcomes riders of all ages and abilities. With routes opening as early as 5am and the ride itself kicking off at 6:15am, this year’s Dubai Ride is set to be a memorable experience.
How to Access Free Bike Rentals
Careem Bike will provide free bike rentals at two pop-up stations:
- Entrance A: Museum of the Future (MOTF), Trade Center St.
- Entrance E: Lower FCS, Financial Centre Rd.
Simply use code DR24 on the one-day pass to rent a bike at no charge. Bikes will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, so participants are encouraged to arrive early.
A Push Toward a Bicycle-Friendly Dubai
This collaboration marks the third consecutive year that Careem and the RTA have partnered for the Dubai Ride. Abdulrahman Mohammad Aljanahi, director of Roads Right of Way at RTA, expressed his enthusiasm for the event, stating, “This initiative by the RTA not only aims to make Dubai a bicycle-friendly city but also encourages the community to consider sustainable transportation alternatives.” He emphasized that the partnership aligns with Dubai’s goals of promoting sustainability, health, safety, and customer happiness.
A Commitment to Community and Accessibility
Sami Amin, Careem's senior director of operations, noted the importance of this partnership in enhancing the cycling experience for residents and tourists alike. “We’re thrilled to support RTA's mission to enhance the Dubai Ride experience again this year. By providing free bike rentals, we’re making it easier than ever for everyone to take part, whether or not they have their own bike.”
With the support of RTA and Careem Bike, Dubai Ride 2024 aims to create an accessible and eco-friendly experience that celebrates cycling, health, and sustainability in Dubai.
