He urged both the private and public sectors to persist in their efforts to create a sustainable development model, prioritizing the enhancement of people's capabilities and their quality of life.
The Crown Prince underscored the government's dedication to achieving milestones in global competitiveness indicators. He highlighted the city's capability to adapt to evolving landscapes through the implementation of modern legislative frameworks and regulatory rules.
For the second year in a row, Dubai held fourth place in the Cultural Interaction criteria, surpassing cities such as Tokyo, Istanbul, Madrid, Moscow, and Singapore. The top three cities in the overall ranking were still held by London, New York, and Paris. This accomplishment was facilitated by Dubai's dedication to elevating its standing as a significant center for creative and cultural attraction.
The GPCI, an annual benchmark since 2008, serves as a global measure of the performance and competitiveness of cities. It aids governments, businesses, and individuals in decision-making related to investment, immigration, and travel. The index comprises six parameters: Economy, Research and Development, Cultural Interaction, Liveability, Environment, and Accessibility.
Dubai excelled in sub-parameters within Cultural Interaction, ranking first globally in the Number of Foreign Residents and second in the Number of Luxury Hotel Rooms. This reflects the city's cultural offerings, creative environment, and diverse tourist attractions. Additionally, Dubai showcased excellence in work flexibility, a low unemployment rate, and city cleanliness, as well as success in hosting global exhibitions and events.
Dubai, recognized globally for its economies, finance, business, tourism, and travel, stands out as one of the most successful cities in attracting talent. With over 200 nationalities living together in a tolerant and welcoming society, Dubai remains a popular and diverse tourist destination on the world stage.
