Dubai Police Catch Globally Wanted Drug Trafficker
Dubai Police have arrested Othman El Ballouti, a Belgian national and one of the world’s most wanted criminals. El Ballouti was listed on INTERPOL’s Red Notice and Europol’s database for his involvement in drug trafficking and organised crime.
The arrest took place through the efforts of Dubai Police’s General Department of Criminal Investigation, in coordination with the UAE Ministry of Interior. It followed an international arrest warrant issued by Belgian authorities. This warrant was processed by the UAE Ministry of Justice’s International Cooperation Department.

El Ballouti has now been handed over to Dubai Public Prosecution, where legal steps for his extradition are being taken.
