When it comes to our pets, their safety and well-being are top priorities. After all, they’re part of the family! That's why Emirates Pets has launched a specialized service to ensure your furry companions receive the highest levels of care and attention, no matter where they fly. Adhering strictly to the International Air Transport Association’s Live Animal Regulations (IATA LAR), Emirates Pets guarantees that your pets are in safe hands throughout their journey.

Purpose-Designed Solutions for Pet Travel

In line with the UAE Ministry of Climate Change and Environment (MOCCAE), Emirates SkyCargo offers temperature-controlled facilities for pets arriving and departing from Dubai, as well as those in transit. Here’s how it works:

  • Minimum Connection Time: To ensure your pet gets the care they deserve, all transit pets must have a minimum connection time of six hours between flights.
  • Transit Care: While in Dubai, our dedicated transit care partners will ensure your loved ones are cleaned, fed, and given fresh water. If your pet needs special food or medication, just let us know at the time of booking, and we’ll make sure they get it.
  • Transportation: We use a specially designed pet transport vehicle to move your pets between the aircraft and our temperature-controlled facilities.
  • Safety First: Pets are placed in the temperature-controlled hold of the aircraft, and we make sure they are the last to be loaded and the first to be retrieved upon arrival, protecting them from the elements.

Key Features of Emirates Pets

Here are some standout features of the Emirates Pets service:

  • Dedicated Transit Area: A separate area in Dubai just for transit pets.
  • 24/7 Dedicated Team: Our team is available 365 days a year to review and approve all necessary details, including:
    • Complete pet information
    • Cage specifications (with pictures)
    • Medical and veterinary reports
    • Vaccination certificates
    • Confirmation from the destination airport for an “OK to forward”
  • Trained Staff: All staff members are trained in IATA LAR regulations, ensuring your pet’s journey is compliant and safe.
  • Professional Transit Care: Comprehensive care provided while pets are in transit.
  • Veterinary Services: 24/7 veterinary services available in Dubai for any emergencies.

Emirates Pets follows IATA LAR regulations along with both state and Emirates-specific requirements.
