Dubai Launches Festive Campaign to Celebrate UAE Flag Day and National Day
Dubai is gearing up for a month-long celebration in honor of UAE Flag Day and the 53rd National Day, starting on November 3 and running through December 3. The event is a collaboration between 16 government, semi-government, and private organizations, aiming to honor the UAE's rich history and cultural heritage.
Fireworks and Festivities Light Up Dubai
The celebrations will feature spectacular fireworks displays on December 2 and 3 at key locations, including JBR Beach, Al Seef, Hatta, and Dubai Festival City Mall. Daily fireworks will also be showcased at Global Village, adding to the festive atmosphere.
Cultural Markets and Parades
Several seasonal markets, such as Beach Canteen, Ripe Market, and Winter Wonderland, will offer a variety of Emirati-themed activities, local cuisine, and unique shopping experiences. A special ‘Union Day Parade’ will take place on December 2 at City Walk, showcasing traditional Emirati dances and performances in a carnival-style celebration.
Museum Events to Explore UAE’s Heritage
Key cultural sites, like Hatta Heritage Village and Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood, will host special events organized by Dubai Culture. Visitors can experience Dubai’s rich history through interactive performances and activities. The Al Shindagha Museum will revive old heritage houses, offering a glimpse into life in old Dubai through theatrical performances. The Etihad Museum will focus on the UAE's Union, featuring exhibitions that tell the story of the nation’s founding.
Expo City Dubai and Musical Performances
Expo City Dubai will celebrate with the ‘Union Symphony,’ performed by the Firdaus Orchestra, playing Emirati national songs in two free performances. Al Wasl Plaza will be adorned with UAE flags and traditional décor while hosting cultural performances and an Emirati Harvest Market, showcasing locally grown products.
Illuminations Across Dubai
Dubai Municipality will illuminate major parks, Dubai Frame, Dubai Safari Park, and the Clock Tower roundabout with dazzling lights in honor of the celebrations.
Celebrations at Dubai Airports
Dubai Airports will have a dedicated space for Eid Al Etihad celebrations, focusing on maritime heritage. Visitors arriving in Dubai will be welcomed with traditional songs and cultural performances, reflecting the spirit of the UAE’s rich traditions.
This campaign, spearheaded by Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, honors the founding fathers of the UAE and highlights the unity and cultural pride of the nation.
