Dubai’s public parking operator, Parkin, has announced new variable parking fees set to take effect from February 17, impacting areas near major event venues.

Under the revised policy, parking near event zones—including the Dubai World Trade Centre, now designated as a "Grand Event Zone"—will cost Dh25 per hour during events. The move aims to ease congestion and encourage the use of public transport.

Parkin took to X (formerly Twitter) to advise attendees to opt for alternative transport options when heading to high-traffic areas during major events.

This update follows a recent increase in parking fees across Zone F, which includes Al Sufouh 2, The Knowledge Village, Dubai Media City, and Dubai Internet City. The revised Zone F tariffs were implemented on February 1.

With these changes, Dubai continues its push for smarter mobility solutions while ensuring smoother traffic flow during large-scale gatherings.
