Dubai authorities have introduced the "Work Bundle" initiative, slashing visa processing time to just five days. Announced by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, this innovative approach aims to expedite visa and work permit applications for private sector employees.

Sheikh Mohammed emphasized the government's commitment to excellence, stating, "In our ongoing quest for government excellence, we have recently introduced the 'Zero Bureaucracy' initiative, aimed at streamlining procedures and enhancing efficiency within the federal government." The Work Bundle initiative is a pivotal component of this vision, designed to simplify and accelerate residency and employment processes.

Under the new system, individuals can complete their transactions in just five working days, a drastic reduction from the previous 30-day timeline. Sheikh Mohammed highlighted the significant impact of the initiative, stating, "The Work Bundle is set to reclaim 62 million working days previously devoted to renewing residencies and employment contracts within government frameworks."

The streamlined process, available initially in Dubai and gradually expanding to other emirates, consolidates employment services onto a single platform. This includes renewal, cancellation, medical examination, and fingerprinting, simplifying the experience for applicants.

Governmental collaboration and digital integration have been instrumental in reducing procedural steps and document requirements. Previously, applicants navigated through 15 steps and provided 16 documents, whereas now, the process involves just five steps and five documents. Moreover, the number of required visits has been reduced from seven to two, significantly enhancing convenience for applicants.

The Work Bundle initiative underscores Dubai's commitment to fostering a business-friendly environment and supporting economic growth. As the program rolls out on the Invest in Dubai platform and other government digital platforms, it promises to revolutionize visa processing, making Dubai an even more attractive destination for investors and professionals alike.
