Customs officers at the Dubai International Airport arrested a male passenger attempting to smuggle 3.2 kilograms of cocaine inside his belt.
The officers became suspicious when the man arrived from a South American country, however, nothing illegal was found in his luggage.
When the passenger's body was scanned, the customs officers found the drugs concealed in a compressed body belt the man was wearing.
The culprit had been very careful in avoiding having metal on him, in order to avoid being detected by the scanners.
According to the customs officers, the passenger denied being the owner of the drugs. He revealed that he had been paid to deliver the drugs to an individual in the UAE.
Nonetheless, he was arrested and handed over to the General Directorate of Anti-Narcotics at the Dubai Police.
