The iconic 19.28-metre-tall structure welcomes visitors to one of the UAE's fastest-developing tourist areas.
It stands as a striking symbol of Hatta's identity and its status as one of the most scenic regions in the Gulf country.
The Hatta sign is taller than the famed Hollywood sign, which measures 13.7 metres. However, the Hatta sign lights up the night sky, just like the Hollywood sign.
The Guinness World Records title is now expected to shine a global spotlight on the Hatta region, which was once a local gem, but is now set to attract international travellers.
