Dubai’s Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) has announced a delightful surprise for residents: four days of free public parking and extended metro and tram operation hours during the Eid al-Adha break. This initiative is set to make the festivities even more enjoyable and convenient for everyone.

Motorists can rejoice as Dubai offers free public parking from Saturday, June 15, until Tuesday, June 18. This generous gesture excludes multi-level parking terminals, so plan your outings accordingly. Whether you’re heading out for family gatherings or festive celebrations, you won’t have to worry about parking fees during these four days.

Moreover, for those relying on public transport, the RTA has extended the operating hours for both the metro and tram lines.

Here’s the schedule to keep in mind:

Metro Red & Green Lines:

  • Saturday, June 15: 5 am – 1 am (next day)
  • Sunday, June 16: 8 am – 1 am (next day)
  • Monday and Tuesday, June 17-18: 8 am – 12 am

Dubai Tram:

  • Saturday, June 15: 6 am – 1 am
  • Sunday, June 16: 9 am – 1 am
  • Monday and Tuesday, June 17-18: 8 am – 12 am

These extended hours ensure that everyone can enjoy the city’s festivities without any transit hassles. Whether you’re heading to a friend’s house, a community event, or simply exploring Dubai, the extended metro and tram schedules will accommodate your travel needs.

The RTA’s thoughtful initiatives ensure that everyone can partake in the festive spirit without the usual parking and travel concerns. So, mark your calendars, plan your outings, and make the most of this festive season.
