Dubai gears up for its world-renowned New Year's Eve festivities across 32 locations with a comprehensive security plan to ensure a safe and smooth celebration. Organized by the Events Security Committee, the city has been categorized into four sectors—North, Central, West, and Maritime.

Unified Security Efforts

Authorities have collaborated on a unified security strategy maximizing each entity's expertise to safeguard tourist spots, and shopping hubs, and regulate traffic flow during the New Year celebrations. The public is encouraged to cooperate with the police, adhere to traffic instructions, and promptly reach out to Dubai Police in emergencies by dialing 999.

Services and Support

Supply tents stationed in downtown Dubai will cater to various needs such as lost and found items, first aid, logistical support, assistance for lost children, and visitor guidance.

Security Measures

To ensure the event's success, nearly 12,000 personnel, including 5,574 police officers and 1,525 patrols, civil defense, and ambulance vehicles, will be deployed across Dubai and Hatta. Road closures start from 4 PM onwards, with Sheikh Zayed Road closing at 9 PM. The Roads and Transport Authority announced enhanced transportation services, extending Dubai Metro operation hours and deploying 230 buses.

Municipality's Role

Dubai Municipality plans to deploy 2,700 teams across all celebration sites, focusing on major locations such as Downtown Dubai, Dubai Mall, Burj Khalifa, and various public beaches. The teams will maintain cleanliness, overseeing waste management and sanitation around crowded areas.

Health and Safety Compliance

The Municipality's health and safety teams will conduct comprehensive checks to ensure compliance with safety standards for various aspects, including pathways, water systems, and crowd management plans. Food safety teams will inspect establishments to maintain food safety standards.

Emergency Services and Medical Assistance

Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services will station 178 ambulances, boats, paramedics, and supervisors across the city. Specialized ambulance points and services will be available in vital areas, ensuring swift medical response.
