The Dhul Hijjah crescent moon was sighted in Abu Dhabi on Friday, Jun. 7.
UAE's Astronomy Centre shared a social media post, featuring a picture of the faint crescent captured by Al Khatim Astronomical Observatory.
هلال شهر ذي الحجة 1445هـ كما تم تصويره يوم الجمعة 07 يونيو 2024م من أبوظبي بواسطة مرصد الختم الفلكي، وذلك في الساعة 06 صباحا بتوقيت غرينتش. بعد القمر عن الشمس 11 درجة. عمر القمر السطحي 15.7 ساعة.

UAE residents are expected to get four days off for Eid Al Adha holidays, including Arafah Day and the first three days of Eid.
Saudi Arabia spotted the crescent on Thursday, Jun. 6, announcing that Eid Al Adha will be on Sunday, Jun. 16.
However, Oman did not spot the crescent moon, announcing that the first day of Eid Al Adha will fall on Monday, Jun. 17.
UAE Eid Al Adha Celebrations
There are various locations in Abu Dhabi which will host exciting fireworks shows for Eid Al Adha.
In Dubai, Riverland Park will host fireworks and laser shows during the Eid holidays.
Other than fireworks, various concerts and shows will be hosted in Dubai and Abu Dhabi during the Eid holidays.
