The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has urged UAE residents to check for possible leaks in internal water connections from time to time because these leaks can result in huge wastage and damage to properties.
This call is part of Dewa's awareness campaign, 'Make Smart Summer Choices Your Habit'.
To maintain the preservation of resources, Dewa also urged people to start utilizing its smart services to increase water consumption efficiency and reduce waste. Leakages occur mostly in water tanks, bathrooms, kitchens, and swimming pools. This usually happens due to deterioration of the tank body, connections, or improper positioning. Additionally, aging and lack of maintenance can also happen in taps, pipes, toilet tanks, and water heaters.
