Businesses in Sharjah Can Get Permits to Extend Work Hours in Ramadan

Sharjah Municipality has announced that businesses and shops need special permits to extend their operation hours.

Sharjah Municipality has announced that businesses in the emirate will have to get special permits in order to extend their working hours.

All shops need to apply for this permit in order to operate beyond midnight during Ramadan. Business owners can apply for the permit at this website www.shjmun.gov.ae.
However, engineering contractors are prohibited from getting a permit to work after midnight.
The municipality shared which establishments are exempted from this new regulation and restaurants, bakeries, and cafeterias can operate beyond midnight without the permit.
However, there are two permits that eateries need to apply for the display of food during Ramadan. The municipality has also shared general guidelines about displaying food during Ramadan.
