The world’s tallest tower lit up with a black and white photo of the late Emir in remembrance, a day after his passing.
The stalwart was Kuwait’s leader for over 50 years and became the 16th Emir of Kuwait.
The official Twitter account of Burj Khalifa, expressed their deepest condolences with the following heartfelt message.

On Wednesday at noon, UAE leader’s congratulated Kuwait’s new Emir once he took the oath of office in Parliament, according to the Emirates News Agency (WAM)
His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, the Emir of Abu Dhabi, the Supreme Commander of the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces and the Chairman of the Supreme Petroleum Council, has ordered funeral prayers to be performed for the late Emir in all mosques nationwide today after Asr prayer.
