2010 world cup winners - Spain's match against Morocco in the 2022 World Cup round of 16 was held today, the 6th of December at the Education City Stadium in Al Rayyan, Qatar.
Morocco won and is now in the Quarterfinals after the Penalty Shoot-out. The first Arab team to make the quarterfinals in World cup history.
The score was 0-0 until half time when Morocco had more number of shots in the first half leading with 3 and Spain had just 1. It's the fewest Spain has recorded in the first half of a WorldCup game since 1966.
A very intense match between the teams which led to a penalty shoot-out after 30 minutes of extra added time.
The winning team, Morocco, First time entering the Quarter Finals, will join Croatia, Brazil, Netherlands, Argentina, England, and France in the Quarterfinals stage of the Fifa World Cup 2022.
