Despite the ease of the restriction on shisha services, other rules still remain in place
All social distancing guidelines are to be strictly followed. Establishments should ensure the regular disinfection of touched surfaces and common areas at least once every hour and shared objects each time they are used (handrails, slides, tubes, lockers, counters, toilets etc).
The circular further reinforces that if any symptoms of COVID-19 is detected amongst visitors or staff, such as fever (≥37.5 ̊C), cough, myalgia or fatigue, shortness of breath, sore throat, runny nose, diarrhoea, nausea, headache, or loss of sense of smell or taste, the DHA hotline number 800342 should be immediately contacted by the facility’s designated Health officer.
Moreover, all staff and guests must go through temperature screening before entering the establishment without fail. Only disposable shisha hoses and narghiles will be permitted for use. Reusable shisha parts including the tongs are to be cleaned and disinfected after each client.
