Bolt's Arrival in Dubai

Bolt, which operates in over 600 cities across 50 countries, including Egypt and Saudi Arabia, has launched with three ride options: standard rides, XL for larger groups, and premium services. Taxi booking services will follow in a later phase, though no specific timeline has been announced.

The app allows users to book rides, track drivers, and make payments, offering a seamless experience for commuters.

Partnership with Dubai Taxi Company

Bolt has partnered with Dubai Taxi Company (DTC) to bring its services to the UAE. The collaboration aligns with the city's vision of having 80% of taxi trips booked through e-hailing apps in the coming years.

Mansoor Alfalasi, CEO of Dubai Taxi Company, highlighted that the initial fleet includes limousines from trusted fleet partners, including DTC vehicles. Future expansions will introduce taxi services and explore opportunities in other emirates, along with services like e-scooters, car rentals, and deliveries.

Focus on Safety and Convenience

Bolt emphasizes rider safety with features like in-app emergency assistance, trip anomaly detection, driver background checks, and speech-to-text incident reporting. The platform also supports ride-sharing and unmatched pairing for a better user experience.

With its launch, Bolt adds more variety to Dubai’s thriving Dh6-billion taxi and e-hailing sector, giving commuters an additional choice for convenient and safe travel.
