The Bahraini jockey and Royal Endurance Team Captain, His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, has won the FEI World Endurance Championship title for a distance of 160 km.

His Highness gifted Bahrain the world title for the first time in the history of its participation in the championship.

The race took place in Boudheib International Village in Abu Dhabi on Saturday, February 25th.

On horseback Darco Le Maggiore, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad outclassed other riders from UAE, Uruguay, and Spain to win the race, clocking 7 hours, 36 minutes, and 39 seconds.

"I am the WORLD CHAMPION!!!!!!!," he wrote in an Instagram post.

A total of 126 contenders representing 36 countries participated in the championship and were in the fray vying for the trophy.

The holder of the title of the 2022 championship, Emirati Salem Malhoof, came in second place.
