Azizi Developments has commenced the construction of Burj Azizi, a mega-tall tower slated to be the second tallest in the world. The $1.5 billion structure, located on Sheikh Zayed Road, will boast luxury apartments, penthouses, a multi-floor mall, a seven-star hotel, high-end dining options, and an observation deck. The developer envisions completing Burj Azizi within the next four years.
Height Requirements and Competing Towers
To secure the title of the second tallest tower in the world, Burj Azizi must surpass 679 meters, the height of Malaysia's Merdeka 118. Within Dubai, it needs to exceed 450 meters, surpassing the Franck Muller Aeternitas tower under construction in Dubai Marina. Presently, Marina 101 stands as the second tallest in Dubai at 425 meters, as per the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat.
Azizi Developments' Growth Plans
Azizi Developments, known for its ambitious projects, previously proposed a 570-meter skyscraper in 2018. The developer, with a Dh60 billion investment plan, envisions Burj Azizi as a unique "master community in one tower." Amid its ongoing projects and an extensive portfolio of 40,000 units under construction, Azizi continues to contribute significantly to Dubai's real estate landscape.
