All About the "Rail-Less" Trains in Abu Dhabi

The Automated Rapid Transit (ART) system in Abu Dhabi, which uses electric public buses with a capacity of 200 passengers each, has begun its experimental phase.

There will be 25 stations along routes that cover around 27 kilometers during the project's pilot phase of rail-less transport. The efficient, eco-friendly public transportation infrastructure in Abu Dhabi expands residents' and tourists' alternatives for getting around.
"ITC teams have built a highly efficient and fully integrated infrastructure, ensuring the highest standards of safety, comfort, and quality for customers," the Government of Abu Dhabi Media Office stated on Thursday.
From Friday to Sunday, the service operates between Reem Mall and Marina Mall, traveling through Zayed the First Street and Corniche Street on Abu Dhabi Island. The timings of the service are the First and last trip from Reem Mall at 10 am and 2 pm, respectively, and the First and last trip from Marina Mall at 11 am and 3 pm, respectively.
Among the stops are the Corniche, Sheikha Fatima Park, Khalidiya Park, Qasr Al Hosn, NMC Specialty, and Lifeline hospitals, Sheikh Hazza bin Sultan Mosque, Galleria Al Maryah Island, and Marina Square.
The ART project is a component of Abu Dhabi's Smart Mobility Strategy, which aims to create a reliable, sustainable, and highly technologically advanced transportation industry.
