A new smart monitoring system will be rolled out in Ajman starting October 1 to catch drivers using mobile phones or not wearing seat belts, the Ajman Police announced.

Fines and Penalties for Drivers

Under federal law, drivers caught using phones or engaging in other distractions while driving will face a fine of Dh400 and receive four black points on their driving license. The same penalties will apply to drivers who fail to ensure that all passengers, including those in the back seat, are wearing seat belts.
