Ajman Police set up a surprise graduation party for a student who was supposed to celebrate the end of her school year but was disrupted by a huge fire in her high-rise building last month.
Hala, whose age and nationality have not been revealed, was about to mark her high school graduation when a fire erupted in a 36-story building located in Ajman's Rashidiya area during the early hours of June 27th.
The fire completely destroyed 64 apartments in Tower Two of the Ajman One complex, and 10 cars were also affected by the blaze, but no reported injuries.
According to Lt Col Ghaith Al Kaabi, during their investigation of the affected apartments, Ajman Police officers found the burned remnants of party decorations and a high school student's graduation certificate.
After contacting the tenant, the student’s family was preparing to throw their daughter a graduation party.
So, Ajman Police decided to organize a surprise party for Hala and her family at their headquarters.
It was attended by several senior officers, including Brig Abdullah Al Matroushi, director general of police operations.
Brig Al Matroushi personally handed Hala a replacement graduation certificate. Hala's family showed their appreciation to the Ajman Police for their thoughtful gesture.
