Virtual Assistant: An Important Educational and Administrative Tool for UAE Residents
A study by Yango revealed that UAE residents see AI-based virtual assistants as personal assistants for education, smart home management, and daily tasks.
- 72 percent of survey respondents believe that smart assistants should be involved in children's education.

The majority of UAE residents view AI assistants primarily as educational tools, with 72 percent of respondents saying AI assistants should be involved in children’s education, according to a survey conducted by Researchscape International, commissioned by global technology company Yango .
According to the same survey, 54 percent of respondents believe that AI assistants should be useful learning companions, especially to facilitate learning new languages. Another 54 percent of respondents say that AI assistants should help them organize their day. Smart home management is also one of the top areas where an AI assistant can be useful. 57 percent of respondents expect an AI assistant to manage smart home devices, while 41 percent expect to use virtual assistants as a means of entertainment to play music based on their mood.

As a smart assistant that meets the expectations of local users, Yasmina can play a Surah from the Holy Quran with the voice of Sheikh Maher bin Hamad Al Muaiqly, without the need for a subscription, as it is a free service for all users, and also informs you of the date according to the Hijri calendar. You can say, “Yasmina, play the Adhan sound for all prayers every day,” and the smart assistant will automatically play the Adhan sound based on your current location. Yasmina also knows the prayer times in any city around the world.
Smart Home Management
Yasmina has the ability to dim the lights, set the room temperature to a comfortable level, and play a curated meditation playlist. Simply say, “Yasmina, turn off the lights,” “Yasmina, turn on the ocean sound,” or “Yasmina, set the room temperature to 23 degrees,” to set the mood for meditation.
Fitness Partner
Yasmina makes workouts more fun with curated playlists for sports. All you have to do is say, “Yasmina, play sports music.” To access the entire music library, including playlists for different moods and activities, users need to activate their Yango Play subscription .
42 percent of survey participants hope that AI assistants will act as personal trainers in the future to motivate them to exercise, while 33 percent expect virtual assistants to provide them with calorie counts for meals.
