Abu Dhabi's non-oil economy grew by 12.3% in the second quarter of 2023, reaching Dh154 billion ($41.96 billion). This is the highest growth rate since 2014 and reflects the emirate's efforts to diversify its economy.
Abu Dhabi's overall economy grew by 3.5% in the second quarter of 2023, driven by the non-oil sector, which grew by 12.3%.
The strong growth of Abu Dhabi's non-oil economy in the first quarter of 2023 has continued into the second quarter, with the sector reaching a record Dh154 billion.
Abu Dhabi's total real GDP reached a record Dh287 billion in the second quarter of 2023, with the non-oil sector accounting for 53.7% of that.
This means that Abu Dhabi's economy is growing at a rapid pace, and that the non-oil sector is playing a major role in that growth.
