Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, is a popular destination for remote workers during the winter months. With an average of 10.2 hours of sunshine per day between October and February, it offers a warm and sunny climate to escape the cold weather in other parts of the world.

According to the research note by Business Name Generator, the study analyzed 50 of the most populous cities in the world based on the following factors:
- WiFi speed
- Monthly cost of living for nomads
- Average rental expenses
- Quality of life score
- Number of winter sunlight hours
- Winter temperature
- Average flight time from London
The study found that Abu Dhabi was the best city for remote workers during the winter, followed by Dubai, Singapore, Orlando, and Houston. These cities all offer a combination of fast and reliable internet, affordable cost of living, and pleasant weather during the winter months.

Remote workers, also known as digital nomads, are people who work remotely from anywhere in the world. As winter approaches, many digital nomads choose to relocate to warmer climates.
The UAE has recently relaxed its visa requirements in an effort to attract more visitors and residents. In 2021, the UAE government introduced a remote work visa, which allows workers to live in the United Arab Emirates while working for companies based outside of the UAE.

The applicants for the one-year remote work visa must provide documentation proving they are employed by an entity outside the United Arab Emirates and earn $3,500 (Dh12,845) per month or its equivalent.
