According to Mark Dorzi, Director of Operations at the Abu Dhabi Residents Office, the golden visa period in Abu Dhabi has been revised to a period of 10 years for all categories, instead of the previous 5 years.
With the introduction of new primary categories and subcategories based on recommendations from the concerned authority, such as the Abu Dhabi Office for Residents, holders of this visa may sponsor spouses, children, and parents regardless of age, as per Dorzi.

A multiple-entry visa for a period of 6 months to complete the golden visa processes, as well as a renewable resident visa for a duration of 5 or 10 years, are some of the special privileges available to holders of the golden visa. The possessor of a golden visa may also remain outside the UAE for an extended period of time—more than six months—and is eligible to apply for residence permits for his spouse and children.
In order to provide long-term residency permits that allow holders to live in the nation without the need for a guarantor, the UAE government previously introduced the Golden Residency Programme. For professionals and researchers in the sectors of science and knowledge, such as doctors, experts, scientists, and inventors, the golden visa now provides a wide range of residency choices and is valid for 10 years, according to the Abu Dhabi Residents Office. Depending on the category, it is supposedly granted for 5 or 10 years.
