His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has extended his honorary patronage to the upcoming Abu Dhabi Festival which is presented by the Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation.

The 20th edition of the Abu Dhabi Festival is held under the theme "The Will for Evolution", which reflects the UAE's strive for excellence in innovation and creativity. The festival started on March the 1st at Emirates Palace with a concert by Juan Diego Flórez, the renowned Peruvian tenor.

Abu Dhabi Festival 2023 will showcase a range of world-famous performers and musicians, exclusive productions, premieres, and events, and will take place over the first three weeks of March.

The festival will feature both local and global performers and will take place under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Shamsa Bint Hamdan Al Nahyan, who is the Assistant to His Highness the President of the Emirates Red Crescent Authority for Women's Affairs and the Chairperson of the Higher Committee for Ataya Initiative. The festival is also being supported by Mubadala, as the lead partner and the Ministry of Culture & Youth, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs & International Cooperation, and the Department of Culture & Tourism as the strategic partners.

Friday, 10 March: De Scheherezade a Yo, Carmen at Emirates Palace

Saturday, 11 March: Two-time Grammy Award-winning Jazz musician Gregory Porter at Emirates Palace

Tuesday, 14 March: Recital Series: Pianist Bruce Liu at NYU Arts Center

Thursday, 16 March: Recital Series: Shanghai Pianist Haochen Zhang at NYU Arts Center

Friday, 17 March: From West to East: A Classical Odyssey by Tan Dun at Emirates Palace

Saturday, 18 March: Buddha Passion by Tan Dun at Emirates Palace

Sunday, 19 March: Pearl Diver’s Daughter at Cultural Foundation

Monday, 20 March: Recital Series: Leia Zhu, Violin & Benjamin Engeli, Piano at NYU Arts Center

Finally, 11 December: Al-Andalus & the Ancient Hesperia at NYU Arts Center
