Abu Dhabi Auction Raises AED 83.7M for Charity
The Most Noble Number online charity auction, organized by Abu Dhabi's Integrated Transport Centre (Abu Dhabi Mobility), has raised an impressive AED 83.78 million in support of the Fathers' Endowment campaign. The auction, which began on March 11 and wrapped up today, has made a significant impact by helping to provide healthcare and treatment for those in need.
Featuring 444 special plate numbers, including rare and iconic vehicle and motorcycle plates, the auction attracted generous contributions from businessmen, humanitarians, and philanthropists. This collective support played a crucial role in raising much-needed funds for the cause.
Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of Abu Dhabi’s Department of Municipalities and Transport, commended the community’s overwhelming support for the auction. He emphasized that the funds raised will directly benefit vulnerable communities across the globe, ensuring access to sustainable healthcare services.
The Fathers' Endowment campaign was launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai. The initiative honors fathers by creating an endowment fund aimed at improving healthcare access in underserved communities. This includes developing hospitals, providing essential medical equipment, expanding healthcare capacity, and upgrading operating rooms.
The campaign continues to welcome donations from individuals and institutions through various channels. You can contribute via the campaign's website, a dedicated call center, bank transfers, SMS options, the DubaiNow app, and Jood, Dubai’s community contributions platform.
