We came up with a guide to celebrate Qatar National Day on 18th December 2021. The Amiri Diwan has announced that Sunday, 19 December 2021 will be an official holiday to celebrate Qatar National Day on Saturday, 18 December 2021.
This year's National Day carries the slogan "Ancestral meadows; a matter of trust." following one of the four pillars of the Qatar National Vision 2030 which raises awareness on environmental development.
The Parade
Qatar National Day parade will start at 9 am and entry for the public is by invitation only (via bar code). Corniche will open to invitees until 7:30 am and the paths will be closed after that.
Fireworks on the Corniche
They will light up the Corniche on the Doha Corniche during the evening time and it will coincide with the timing of the end of the FIFA Arab Cup™.
Timings for Doha Metro and Lusail Tram until 18 December 2021
M143 will operate from Hamad Hospital Station.
M106 and M107 operations from West Bay QP Station will be suspended.
Doha Metro & Lusail Tram also announced that due to the organizational requirements of Qatar National Day celebrations, access to Al Bidda, Corniche, and West Bay QP stations will be restricted between 11:30 pm on 17 December and 11:30 am on 18 December.
Al Bidda Station will only be available for transfer between the Red and Green Lines.
Restrictions on all vehicles
Restrictions all vehicles from 15th to 21st December including not hiding the front and rear number plates. No blackout or tint the windshield. Do not get out of the windows. No changing the colour of the vehicle.
