National Gluten-Free Day is celebrated annually on January 13th. This day was designated to be gluten-free by Cassy Joe Garcia of Fed + Fit to raise awareness about people who are gluten-intolerant and suffer from celiac disease.

Gluten is a protein that is found in all kinds of grains including wheat, rye, and barley, which are usually main components in some of the most popular foods like pizza, bread, and pasta.

To commemorate National Gluten-Free Day, here are five easy and quick recipes to help people conforming to gluten-free diets celebrate.

Berry Omelette

This breakfast includes one egg and all your favourite berries. This breakfast recipe is a gluten-free option that replaces your morning toast, which contains gluten. The egg provides a good amount of protein, while the berries provide antioxidants, lots of fibre, and nutrients like Vitamin C.

Chicken Salad
