Work is currently underway to transform the old site of Darb Al Saai, located in the Al Sadd area, into a tourist and recreational area that will be opened before the start of the World Cup 2022 in Qatar.

The entity in charge of this city had received more than a thousand cabins until Tuesday, November 1, whose registration, and parking were completed at the site designated for it, under the direct supervision of "monaksat" and in coordination and organization with the Projects and Legacy Committee.

Arrangement of cabins was monitored on the site, in addition to connecting them with ground extensions, in addition to providing the site with all basic services, including electricity, water, shops, and restaurants, in addition to external seating as well, taking into account the presence of a site designated for Al Meera with the aim of serving tourists in the caravan city that will allocate to visitors to Qatar during World Cup period.

The Qatari newspaper, Al-Sharq, obtained a complete plan for the project and the location of the cabins parking and published it on its website.

It is intended that the site will be completely planted and paved to facilitate access to the booths and services available from restaurants and the Al Meera Association.

The site organizers will also organize a number of events accompanying the World Cup on the site, including horse and camel riding, in addition to riding motorcycles, and holding various shows and festivals.

The competent authorities were also keen to provide means of transportation within the cabins sites in order to facilitate the process of movement within the site, through “tuk-tuk” motorcycles in yellow, similar to golf cars in various parts of the country, especially those that are dedicated to transporting visitors to and from their destinations.

For the safety of the public located in Zone 1 and Zone 2, designated for tourists, a fence has been placed around these sites to prevent entry to them except through the main gates where security men are present around the clock to maintain the safety of everyone and prevent others from entering.

With the arrival of World Cup fans to the State of Qatar, the city of cabins will be ready to receive them. Where advertisements related to the city of cabins have been published on international booking websites with the aim of renting it by tourists.

The city has received many tourists' requests to book in it, especially as it is at reasonable prices and has all the basic services and entertainment as well.
