This marks the first time Uber is offering autonomous vehicles outside the United States. The service is fully supported by Abu Dhabi Mobility, formerly known as the Integrated Transport Centre (ITC), ensuring seamless integration into the city’s transport network.

How It Works

Tawasul, the main fleet operator for WeRide vehicles on the Uber platform, will manage the robotaxi fleet. Riders can expect a fully driverless commercial service to launch next year. For those eager to increase their chances of hailing a robotaxi, simply head to the Ride Preferences section in the Uber app under Settings and opt for WeRide AV.
