The Integrated Transport Centre (Abu Dhabi Mobility) has introduced several initiatives to support worshippers visiting Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque during the final ten days of Ramadan. These measures focus on improving traffic flow, enhancing mobility, and ensuring a smooth experience, especially during Taraweeh prayers and late-night gatherings.
Free Public Buses for Worshippers
To make travel easier, Abu Dhabi Mobility has launched 10 free bus services connecting Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque with the Bus Interchange in Al Rabdan. Running throughout Ramadan, these buses operate on a regular schedule to provide safe and convenient transport, particularly during peak prayer times.

Smart Traffic Management for a Seamless Experience
To prevent congestion and improve road safety around the mosque, Abu Dhabi Mobility has implemented advanced traffic management measures, including:
- Digital surveillance cameras to monitor congestion and emergencies for quick intervention.
- Mobile electronic signs directing drivers to available parking spots.
- Fixed electronic variable message signs (VMS) guiding motorists toward optimal routes.
- Field inspectors stationed at key intersections to regulate traffic and assist visitors.
- Road Service Patrol (RSP) units and towing services to clear disruptions and keep traffic moving.
Increased Taxi Services for Visitors
Recognizing the higher demand for taxis, 100 taxis will be allocated daily to serve mosque visitors. During the last ten days of Ramadan, this number will increase further to accommodate the peak crowd, ensuring convenient and reliable transport.
With these comprehensive measures, Abu Dhabi Mobility aims to facilitate a stress-free and safe journey for worshippers heading to Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque during the holy month.
