50% Traffic Drop Clears Congestion Near Two Dubai Schools

Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced major traffic enhancements around two key schools in the city—Repton School Dubai in Nad Al Sheba and GEMS Al Khaleej International School in Al Warqa. These changes aim to reduce congestion by up to 50%, making life easier for families, residents, and everyone using these routes.

The RTA has worked to improve traffic flow during peak drop-off and pick-up times by making several important adjustments. These include the addition of 150 new parking spaces at each school, bringing the total parking capacity at Repton School Dubai to 300 spaces, and at GEMS Al Khaleej International School to 270 spaces. With the expanded parking areas, the RTA has also made changes to ensure safer and more efficient entrances and exits to these car parks.

The goal is simple: reduce wait times and ease congestion during the busy school rush hours. The RTA’s efforts are expected to cut delays and traffic bottlenecks by 35 to 50 percent, which should have a noticeable impact on those traveling in and out of the areas. These changes are designed not only to improve the traffic situation but also to keep everything moving smoothly and safely.

In addition to parking spaces, the RTA has introduced new pedestrian routes and crossings to enhance safety. Road markings and traffic-calming measures are now in place to further reduce congestion and ensure a smooth driving experience.

The RTA’s focus on improving school zones is part of a broader effort to support Dubai's urban and developmental growth. In a statement, the RTA emphasized its commitment to enhancing the efficiency and safety of Dubai’s road network, benefiting all road users, including teachers, bus drivers, and parents.

Thanks to these upgrades, drivers and pedestrians can expect smoother traffic flow, less waiting time, and a safer environment around these busy school zones. Whether you're dropping off your child or just passing through, the improvements should make your journey a lot easier.

These enhancements are just another step in Dubai's continued efforts to make its road network safer and more efficient for everyone.
